Bhutan Entry Process Handled
The entry process into Bhutan is arranged for you as part of the package.
Carry Valid ID
A Voter ID or Passport is required to enter Bhutan.
Birth Certificate for Kids
Children travelling need an original birth certificate in English.

Who Can Do This?
For travellers comfortable with a half-day uphill hike. Most of the trip is sightseeing and travel by car, bus and flight, apart from the Tiger's Nest trek.
Where It Gets Difficult
The Tiger's Nest trek in Paro, a 3 km climb one side, is the main physical section of the trip.
Fitness Requirement
No trekking gear is required beyond the Tiger's Nest hike. Basic fitness for a few hours of uphill walking is enough.

Route Breakdown
Bengaluru to Bagdogra
Flight to Bagdogra, then a 4-5 hour drive to the Bhutan border, stopping at tea estates en route.
Entry to Thimphu
Entry process into Bhutan, then a 7-8 hour drive to Thimphu, passing falls, view points and stupas.
Thimphu to Punakha
75 km to Punakha via Dochula Pass and the 108 Stupas, with Punakha Dzong, the suspension bridge and a river-side lunch.
Thimphu Sightseeing to Paro
Buddha Dordenma Statue, Simply Bhutan Museum, Takin Zoo and the Bhutan Post Office, then 50 km on to Paro.
Tiger's Nest Trek
A 3 km climb one side to the Tiger's Nest in Paro, with a self-pay hot stone bath and the Paro cultural event.
Paro to Bagdogra
Drive back to Phuentsholing / Siliguri, then the drop to Bagdogra Airport for the flight to Bengaluru.
